WHAT IS FOOTGOLF?
RULES OF FOOTGOLF
Footgolf is played along similar lines to golf. It uses a football rather than a golf ball, which is kicked around the course into large cups rather than holes. A standard size 5 football is used and the hole lengths are generally shorter the golf holes. It can be played over 9 or 18 holes following the usual formats of golf. Essentially, the player to complete the course in the fewest kicks is the winner!
One of the major attractions of footgolf is its accessibility; the only equipment required is a ball and training or astro type shoes. However, there may be dress code required by some clubs, or when entering competitions that consists of long shorts, knee length socks and a collared shirt.

Footgolf is a precision sport that combines elements of football and golf. It is played on a course that resembles a golf course, yet uses footballs and larger sized cups. The game is becoming increasingly popular and widespread, with numerous clubs being introduced across the country, and a series of national and international competitions already established. It is a sport that can be accessed and enjoyed by an enormous variety of ages and skill levels, from simple family fun up to serious international competition standard.
